The tools making up this ELORA product family have been specially designed and developed for those fields of application in which the highest demands are placed on functionality, accuracy and safety. After all, such fields of industry as precision mechanics, electronics and electrical engineering require particularly careful, workpiece-friendly handling of the materials to be treated.Dissipative working clothes, the typical ESD armband with a spiral cable and electrostatically safe tools are standard components of such a workplace. These tools are marked accordingly. ESD tools from ELORA conform to the ESDstandard DIN IEC 61340-5-1. They are fitted with handles of special conductive material, whose surface resistance is in the range 106 to 109 Ohm. The handle size provides the required contact surface to the hand of the user to ensure that the discharging takes place in a “soft” manner that is gentle on the materials – sensitive components and assemblies remain fully functional despite the mechanical intervention of humans.
